So lately my computer has randomly started crashing, either it will crash to a blue screen that resets itself or my computer will just freeze and an annoying loop of a sound will play. I tried contacting Microsoft but there has been nothing they have done that has helped me. I am also hesitant to use their supposed "blue screen fixer." Anyone have any ideas?

If you use the F8 key right at the start of Windows loading, you can usually turn off the auto restart so you can see the actual code. What is the 0x000000xx code? That will tell us a lot.

In general heat is a prime culprit of this. How old is it? Is the CPU fan/heat sink full of dust? etc.

Removing 1/2 of your RAM might also help identify if it's a memory issue.

The code ended in 19. Heat might indeed be the culprit I plan on opening up my rig tomorrow and taking a look.

Yep. Sounds like heat. I had a similar problem with a case I bought. Turns out the case only had one fucking fan and slots that just "looked like a fan."

Fuck you Dell.

So my solution was to buy another case. Works amazingggggg

ok the 19 could be in several things - always try the easiest thing first even if it is unlikely (IBM way of troubleshooting) - my order would be:

Clean Heatsink Fins and Fan <-25%
Remove 1/2 Ram, retry - if error occurs again, put in just the other half and retry <-25%
Remove Heatsink and clean CPU surface and HS surface, reapply thermal paste to CPU <-15%
Run "Chkdsk /r" from recovery console <-30%
5% something else

My computer also has some random crashes and it's starting to piss me off majorly.

I don't think it's heat problem because it doesn't matter if I have used it heavily for hours or if I just started it. It's so random and never happens when I'm playing, which should probably cause the heaviest usage and heat.

I have dual gpu could it cause the problem? Red light appears on top of it when the computer just shuts down, or does it do that normally when this kind of things happen?

Does updating my motherboards bios do any good. And what I need to do before I start messing with bios updates, are there any risks by doing it because I read that you don't normally do it unless problems occur(which I find strange becasue normally newest software is always the best)?

Edit. I don't get blue screen error.
