But I am a Canadian citizen now! My mother was born in Canada, and today Canada changed its citizenship laws to automatically return her citizenship (and to retroactively give me citizenship as well).

So I'm actually a dual-citizen now. Sweet.

You should try for American citizenship now just for kicks. If that sounds like too much work, you can always just sneak in. It seems to work for everyone else.
