Finally got around to starting stuff by H. G. Wells. Not that much of a reader other than that.

I'm all about Tom Clancy for my fiction, Arthur C. Clarke (RIP) and Issac Asmiov for science fiction, non-fiction: various.

I'm currently re-reading 'Benjamin Franklin: An American Life' and believe it or not ' Rediscovering Abundance -- Interdisciplinary Essays on Wealth, Income, and Their Distribution in the Catholic Social Tradition' for a class.

I really ought to be raping the living shit out of the VT library (like we just raped Wake Forest in hoops), but here's my reading list I will never read:

Me too, i thought it was fairly appropriate for the craziness of the series. Its my favorite book series. When Roland first meets Eddy and theres that gunfight while eddy is ass naked, all I could imagine was Quintin Tarrentino directing that scene some day.

Oh shit, that would be perfect. Tarantino would rule with those books if they were made into film. Alas they are too long and complex to make good films out of unless they do it Lord of the Rings style. I'm almost always disappointed with King's film adaptations, they are never as good as the novels. Exceptions include his short stories and shorter novels made into film and "The Shining" which deviates quite alot from the book.

Man the Gunsliger on film would be sweet, he based him on Eastwood from the Man with No Name trilogy, but Eastwood is too old now I think.

Yea. Apparently JJ Abrams, who made Cloverfield, Lost, fringe and the new star trek bought the film rights to the dark tower story. For $19, directly from stephen king. xD.

I think if it would ever be made into any kind of film it would be best if made how beowulf was made. Beowulf was pretty sick and there were a lot of parts that the CGI was so good it seemed real. And that way they could make roland look exactly like clint eastwood. Hell, maybe they could get him to play the voice.

I read that a few months ago. Neat read.

I'm halfway through Outliers by Malcolm Gladwell; I've read his book Blink as well. Both are fantastic, although I think I liked Blink more. I've been working my way through a huge book of short stories by Ray Bradbury - pretty much my favorite writer.

I think that's it for now, but I have a lot of books that are waiting to be read. Wish I had more time to read them.

I'm the only person I know that read Fahrenheit 451 on my own time, opposed to as a school assignment. But it blew me away.

Right now I'm finishing up Duma Key by Stephen King. Next up is either IT by S.K. or Dune by Frank Herbert. It saddens me that it takes me at least a month to finish a novel now that school is in the way.
