My real focus right now is to tear Half Life 2 apart and build a Source pirate map totally from scratch so I can use it in my portfolio since I'm starting to look for jobs now. Object modeling and texturing is an addiction for me now.

Never played Diablo II. But this is the millionth time I heard it rocks. Must add to the to-do list...

My 11 year old son qualified pistols and black powder at my rifle/pistol club.

Just got this for this our black powder comp:

It pulls up and shoots WONDERFULLY!!! 2.5" groups standing at 50 yards with no practice. Cleaning isnt as easy as some (e.g. Thompson Center Hawken rifle). However, this is by FAR the happiest I have been with ANY firearm purchase. Great rifle + lifetime warranty = win.

I was looking online at those. For a few hundred bucks, you can actually get a Brown Bess musket kit. I carve wood once in a while, so it really sounds like an opportunity to make something beautiful to keep forever.

My favorite part of the deal is how distributors won't ship muskets to California for fear of gun crimes. Are they afraid a bunch of pirate impersonators will rob a bank? I'm sorry to say that that sounds pretty damn cool.

Carving a stock would be the shiz!!! I am not so talented in that department (or have the tools) though. I will likely add some furniture tack patterns to the stock and work some leather for it though.

Pirates off Somalia would be no match for Cali pirates. Wink

Looking at this rifle again, it very much reminds me of a BFP musketoon. Razz

Today at a black powder shoot, i split a playing card (skinny edge! 10 of hearts i think?) and my son shot an axe blade that split his ball in 2 and broke two clay pigeons for some swanky mountain man honor!?! Cant make this shit up. I would swear it was a trick if i saw it on TV. Razz

Lots of Marines up here in Montana. I've heard the Army is best to go if your worried most about financial shit... though this guy just got a 20k signing bonus for leaving 3 months early for boot camp in Pendelton Razz
