World of Warcraft is the single greatest computer game of all time. My time spent playing WoW was the greatest gaming experience of my life. I don't go a day without thinking about it. ever.

All you people who scream about the wow addictions are stuff seem sort of goofy. It's not so much that the game is addicting as it is that the game rewards time played so you want to play a lot. It's immensely fun too.

All you people who blast the game just because it has a monthly fee also seem sort of goofy. That's what happens when a company needs to maintain servers for 4.5million people and keep maintaining a profit.

Stealth has comprived of an analogy for why he's not into WoW.

This is Stealth

*Hi Stealth*

Stealth likes to win.

Stealth plays FPS in order to kill and help his team win.

Stealth plays WoW.

Stealth can't ever win in WoW.

No way to beat WoW.

Stealth doesn't play WoW.

Stealth is also cheap

see now there's a valid reason... i can see how people can get turned off of wow by the fact that there's no real 'winning'.

Its worse than that too...

I watched some uber-adventure movie capture. 30 uber-heros attacked some bad guy that didn't even look as badass as the players. In fact he got lost in the middle of them - even though only one guys way in his face soaking damage. THEY ALL JUST STOOD THERE! The rest of the players all held back so NOT to piss it off. Killing it slowly is apparently more agreeable to the uber-bad-guy. Rolling Eyes It took 15 mins for 30 people to watch this thing die a slow death... The only hard part was keeping overzealous uber-hero fucktards from actually trying. Razz

RIDICULOUS!!! The joy of "leveling". Yay, I didn't try to hard. Gimme levels so I can hold back even more next time? Very Happy

it really does sound lame as hell when you talk about it like that, and all the videos of taking down stuff are lame to watch, but i can't even describe the sense of accomplishment one gets when being in a group doing something like that.

However, I don't bash all RPG in general. Some in which I rather like, but only to certain degrees.

Puzzle Pirates
MapleStory
Knights of the Old Republic 1 & 2
Phantasy Star Saga
Final Fantasy

But those degrees are all because of who I play with. Never the game itself.

For Puzzle pirates I had a lot of guys around and they were very helpful to certain things. Once I've explored every aspect of a game, I guess I just get bored. Plus it was pirates!!!!! And pirates = ownage.

Maplestory was more of just a fun thing I did away from BFP with Bunneh.

Knights of the Old Republic 1 & 2, along with the Phantasy Star Saga, were very interesting. I liked the whole real time attacking.

Final Fantasy had a good storyline. But I dont like the whole "wait your turn to attack" crap going on there. I only played it just to see the storyline. If it had none, there's no way I'd have played it.

However, I really want to play Pirates of the Burning Sea. I'd pay to play that one, which is good b/c it will be a pay to play game. Anyone looking forward to that one? This one sparks my curiousity b/c we could all be on the same massive ship sailing the seas for money and pillaging.

CT had thoughts of that when it was first announced(long time ago) and instead we all got onto Puzzle pirates, even made a crew for it. That didn't turn out well.

ok, i have a confession to make... i bought WoW so id have something to play with my friends from school (they ALL play) & all was well, as soon as i hit about lvl 12, i was good & sick of the level grind, buuuuuut, then i found out you could win... in PvP servers, there is a ctf mode thats actually fun as hell, it takes just as much strategy as any fps & the fact that every character is unique makes it important to use every person properly (that and the fact that its locked at 10v10, so the teams rarely go uneven)

basically i play for the same reasons i play any other game... sometimes i just need something different & this is a lot different than any fps ctf mode

dont worry, im still alive, i havent deserted my family, and i dont plan on going inactive in CT any time soon, i guess i just needed a break from the fps scene for a bit (like when i was playing gunbound) & have a chance to play games with another group of friends (i know, friends outside of CT, scary)

all that being said, i still think the game is evil in that the devs seemed to go way out of their way to make things take a long time (even flying from town to town takes up to 4-5 mins sometimes) & the game is set up so that whoever has the most hours to log in has the best shot at winning...

i guess what im trying to say is that after finally playing it, i can see that both sides have some good points, but the bottom line is, if you like that game, play it, fuck what everyone else thinks... yeah, i may play WoW, but im still a fucking cut throat (i even have some fish that you eat to turn into a pirate Razz)

were all starting to branch out into different games here & there, but just like when this happened about 6 months ago, we all come back because of the people here & the sense of brotherhood we have... i dun care if we didnt play any of the same games, id still come back cuz all u guys are cool as hell

Messy Recipe:  sry about the bots :( been busy & havent gotten round to doing the usual cleanup

need to prolly stick this behind cloudflare or something

Drunken Monkey:  doing well, been building a hobby ranch of my own, got married, no kids, only dogs, sheep and a horse

Comradekil:  so anyway, i wonder how everyone's lives all progressed.. who's in jail? who's grandparents now.. ha life
Drunken Monkey:  and yes....i do miss 1942 aswell, i honestly think it is what drove me to get a M1 garand in real live, and is still my most used rifle
Drunken Monkey:  bots are getting silly
Comradekil:  Sup dudes
Messy Recipe:  the BAR-1918 always felt so good in that game
Messy Recipe:  I miss vanilla 1942 as much as Pirates... need to see if the Origin version (or even original) still has anyone playing sometime
Stealth:  Hello all! Head to the lounge and post a memory!
Stealth:  I saw a BF1942 fraps video of a guy jumping out of a plane and RPG'd another plane. I immediately came here for nostalgia. Miss you all.
Messy Recipe:  I've not tried Sea of Thieves... kinda was bummed to learn its servers don't allow many simultaneous players. gimme 32v32 galleon fights

[BB]Piccolo:  Anybody playing Sea of Thieves?
[BB]Piccolo:  I'm amazed I actually still knew my login. We Black Buccaneers certainly had a special relationship with you Cut Throats. Nothing like a fierce rivalry to make the battlefield exciting, eh? :)
