Try Belarc Advisor, or get a pirated edition of SiSoft Sandra. Or SiSoft Sandra Lite.

thanks... so far little luck though.

belaric is not telling me jack (Its not telling me at all what socket the processor is or how much or what type of ram it has or whatnot)

a pirated version of sisoft sandra is not an option either, this is my aunts work computer and I don't want to get her in trouble for downloading illegally aquired software.

i'm currently downloading the lite version of sandra, gonna see if that tells me what I want.

its puzzling to me that the people who made this system couldn't have spent a few more bucks on a single stick of 512mb ram instead of two sticks of 128 mb ram ( an outdated memory capacity)

1) Perhaps the motherboard does not support 512/slot, or even 256/slot

2) Perhaps the 128s were just pulls ... cheaper than buying anything

BTW, next time just check the Control Panel > System to find RAM.
